Juniper

Juniper from Monica Furlong’s Juniper and Wise Child was an instant favourite.

You watch her evolution from a child learning of her own magical abilities with herbs and healing in Juniper and then watch her grow as a teacher and guardian in Wise Child. As a child I always imagined her small cottage on the hill surrounded with green growing pants and the smell of exotic spices hanging out to dry. There’s a sense of closeness and steadfast resolve.
